A safety app a family uses together
Eyrie started with a simple conviction: keeping a child safe should never mean spying on them. We set out to build the family-safety app we'd actually want on our own kids' phones — and on our own.
Born from a worry — and a rule
Like a lot of parents, we wanted to know our kids got where they were going. But the tools on offer felt wrong: hidden apps, message-reading, endless data-harvesting. They treated safety as something you do to a child, in secret.
So we drew a line. Eyrie would only ever share what a child could see. It would never read the contents of a phone. The app would carry no ads, and we would sell no data. Everything else followed from that rule.
Four principles we don't bend on
Transparency first
If a child can't see what's shared, it's not Eyrie. Every design decision starts from being visible to the person we keep safe.
Least data, always
We collect location and safety signals — and nothing more. We never read messages or photos, and we never sell data.
Australian by design
Built for Australian families, with support from a local team.
Honest about limits
Eyrie is a safety aid, not a guarantee. We'd rather tell you what it can't do than let you over-rely on it.
Fewer anxious check-ins. More trust.
We want Eyrie to give families a little more calm and a little more trust — the quiet confidence of knowing they landed, without turning the family phone into a surveillance device.
We're a small Australian team who take children's data seriously, because it's one of the most sensitive categories of information there is. We publish plain-English policies, we submit to app-store review, and we hold ourselves to our own Acceptable Use Policy.
We'd rather earn it than assume it
Read exactly what we do and don't do, in plain language — then decide for yourself.
